Central Michigan Wiffle Ball League

 On June 11, 2019 we will vote on the all-star team players and on next season hall of fame inductee. here is who made the list for the hall of fame vote: 1. Alex Schmidt (Bobs Bunters) 2. Mike Shafer (Smokin Bases) 3. Alex Werth (Spitballers,Smokin Bases) 4. Kyle Behenna (Oppossums, Wifflers in training) 5. Amanda Kremerer (Smokin Bases, Ball Wiffers)

 After talking it over with the players from 2018, there will be no rule changes made for the 2019 season. The rules listed under the tab, are not correct. A new copy will be made out for the coaches at the start of the season.    For 2019, the tournament champs from 2018 entry fee will be $10.00. All other returning teams will be  $20.00.  Season will begin the week of  May 13, 2019 and should finish up the week of july 29,2019.    The 2019 season is set to start may 21, 2019 and end on july 30,2019. We have 5 teams this year, which all the teams have 1 bye week, with it being a 8 game season. The tournament will be double elimination up till the championship game, the championship game will be the best of three series. We will have our vote for hall of fame and all-star game on june 18, 2019. 

   Even know that we started alittle bit late this season and lost couple teams this season everybody still had a very fun season. Bob;s Bunters came in this season with one veteran  player on the team. By the end of the season, almost pulled off some big upsets. The Smokin Bases team was in the same boat with one veteran player returning. With there veteran player going down with an season ending injury, they brought in two rookies which helped them to return to the championship game  for the second time in 3 years. Bleacher Reacher came into the season with two veterans and two rookies, which kept them dominate team in the league. Bleacher Reacher rolled thru the season and right thru the tournament to there 3rd title in 3 years.  Thanks for everybody coming out this season and playing.

For 2019 season cost for a team will be  $20.00. For any team that brings in a new team will get a discount. Season will begin the week of  May 13, 2019 and should finish up the week of july 29,2019.

Will Plavan                                                           CHANGES 1.back to a slower pitch speed 2. guys will use yellow bats, females have the choice of yellow or different bat 3. field distance will go back to roughly 90ft.

With year two in the books, we had 22 people come out and play in our wiffleball league this year. We lost some players from last year with moving away, but we had 12 new people come out and give it try. Hope to find a new team or two to increase our league to 6-7 teams in 2018.   In 2017 we inducted Dustin Briggs into our Hall of Fame. This past season we had four players on the ballet for 2018 Hall of Fame induction, and the league voted in AJ Briggs.
